How many fullmetal alchemist series are there
Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. I have been recommended to watch Full Metal Alchemist. However, the person who recommended this series to me can't remember the correct order. After googling it, I'm confused as many people have posted different orders. As you may know, there are essentially two versions of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime - the version, called simply "Fullmetal Alchemist", and the version, called "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood".
The version deviates from the manga part-way through, while the version sticks to the manga all the way to the end. These two versions are unrelated to each other in the sense that it's not the case that one is a sequel to the other, or anything like that.
They're just two separate continuities that happen to start in the same place. This being the case, it's up to you which one you want to watch first.
Some people believe you should watch the version and then the version; some people believe the opposite; and yet others believe that you should only watch one and not the other. All these positions have their merits and demerits; perhaps the most typical order is followed by , if only because that's the order in which they were made. Within each continuity there are multiple entries.
There is a specific order in which these entries within a single continuity should be watched. The Conqueror of Shamballa is a sequel to the TV series, so it makes no sense to watch it at any time before finishing the show. There is also something in the continuity called Fullmetal Alchemist: Premium Collection.
I have never managed to locate a copy of this, but it probably makes the most sense to watch it only after you've completed the TV series. Unlike The Conqueror of Shamballa , The Sacred Star of Milos isn't a sequel - rather, it's a side-story taking place somewhere around episode 20 of Brotherhood.
There are two anime series in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, both of which are based on the original manga series : Fullmetal Alchemist , the first anime series which originally aired from to The first half of this series is only loosely based on the original manga.
The series consists of 51 episodes and a feature-length film, Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa , as well as several original video animations. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood , the second anime series which began airing in Despite having a different title, this version follows the original manga series, unlike its predecessor.
With 64 episodes, the Brotherhood is longer than the original, which is a episode series. Brotherhood is more alive with details in everything and backgrounds are more dynamic and elaborate. The original FMA, however, lacks the visuals with less intuitive backgrounds; in fact, nothing actually happens in the background. This makes the action scenes look more mediocre than real.
The Brotherhood is both visually appealing and spectacularly anime, which makes the action scenes look more real-like. Each character is unique and lovable, which makes the anime more interesting to watch. You are bound to love each character — be it the brothers, Edward and Alphonse, or the little Nina Tucker or Roy Mustang for that matter. The FMA has an extensive cast of characters and you remember each name as if you play the character. The central antagonist of the original FMA anime series is a furious woman named Dante, who controls seven homunculi that are named after the seven deadly sins.
Father, originally goes by Homunculus, is the central antagonist in the second adaptation of the manga series called the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Father is also power-hungry who wants immortality over everything else, just like Dante but unlike Dante, he craves for knowledge.
The Brotherhood, on the other hand, sticks with the storyline of the manga, which ends up with Edward sacrificing his ability to use alchemy in exchange for the body of Alphonse.
While both the anime series are a great watch, considering they are derived from one of the greatest manga anime series of all time, they have their fair share of differences. With 64 episodes, the Brotherhood is longer than the original and more life-like, considering Brotherhood features more advanced animation than the original FMA. But there are still some aspects of the original FMA that make it better than the Brotherhood. Difference Between Fullmetal Alchemist and Brotherhood. Difference Between Similar Terms and Objects.
