When do ryan and marissa get back together

Cheating, lies and gaslighting were reoccurrences throughout their relationship. Volchok's character prompted Ryan to look out for Marissa despite the two not being in any relationship. After uncovering Volchok's lies, Ryan offered a shoulder for Marissa to lean on. The tender moment left fans rooting for their happily ever after. Ryan agreed to help Volchok with his scheme in season three which turned into Ryan being blackmailed.

Ryan's participation could have indirectly affected Marissa negatively. He knew how volatile Volchok was yet continued with plans until the aftermath of Seth accidentally setting the Cohen's home ablaze. Ryan's involvement with Volchok could have done more harm than good in his relationship with her.

Though their relationship was tumultuous, Ryan and Marissa came to understanding during the series' last episode. When Marissa told him about her post-graduation plans, Ryan was supportive. He offered to drive her to the airport upon her departure, and she happily accepted. Fans saw the underlying genuine friendship that was the foundation of the two's relationship for the last time.

Home TV The O. By Nnehkai Agbor Published Mar 27, Share Share Tweet Email Comment. Related Topics TV television. When Marissa shot Trey to save Ryan, she made a huge sacrifice. That act ruined her reputation and got her kicked out of private school.

So Seth let her go. Real life could never be as perfect as the first season of the show when Ryan arrived at the stroke of midnight to sweep Marissa off her feet. This was one of those rare times when these two were our favorite couple. The scene only lasted for a few seconds, but it was one of our favorite Seth and Summer moments in the whole series. Ultimately, we think that Seth and Summer are the superior O. Summer went and did her thing with her environmentalist activism. Seth went and did his thing.

The most tear-jerking scene in the entire show had to be when Marissa lost her life at the end of the third season. The pair also had the habit of grating on the fans' nerves, especially with their callous, manipulative behavior as well as their selfishness.

They deserved to be together. It was a huge shame that Luke left The O. Everyone knew that Ryan and Marissa were going to get back together eventually so what was the point in introducing new characters as their love interests and not fleshing them out?

Especially Lindsay, who had a lot more to give before she left. If the writers considered pairing Lindsay and Luke together, they could have gotten a similar relationship to Haley and Nathan's on One Tree Hill. Luke wasn't the brightest tool in the shed but he did prove to have a kind and gentle side.

Lindsay could have also tutored Luke which would have easily integrated her into the core four instead of the weird family drama we got.

If there were two characters that we would have liked to see more of, it would have been Zach and Anna. Although Anna made a brief reappearance in season 3, fans never knew what happened to her afterward. Zach, too, was not heard from again after he left in season 2 to work on a comic with George Lucas. However, it wouldn't have hurt if the writers decided to put the two together as they had a lot in common. For instance, both Zach and Anna were big comic book fans. Anna also had artistic skills which could have seen her replicate the partnership Seth had with Zach.

This could have easily led to a romance. If the writers didn't plan to make Seth and Summer endgame then one couple that could have made a lot of sense together was Summer and Ryan. If fans decide to do a re-watch, they may notice that Summer and Ryan do spend a lot of time together. After repeated attempts to get her to turn against Oliver, Marissa breaks things off with Ryan.

Why: After discovering that Theresa is seemingly pregnant with his child, as the two had been in a relationship during Ryan and Marissa's break-up, Ryan decides to move back to Chino with Theresa despite his feelings for Marissa.

Why: With Johnny just dying and the new girl Sadie coming along it's made things complicated. Ryan starts to think that Marissa and him are not really working out so he calls her and she agrees with him.
